Website and web app development for your business

Website and web app development from Phoned-Tech is for businesses that need more than a ready-made template. A website is what customers see when they look you up. A web app is a tool that works in the browser with nothing to install, like a booking system, a private area for your customers, or one screen where your team sees everything. We build both to load fast, work on any phone and take daily work off your plate, and you own everything we build.

What is website and web app development?

It means building the pages and online tools your business runs on. That can be one simple page for a launch, or a full online system where customers sign in and pay, each staff member sees only what they need, and your team runs it all from one screen.

Everything opens in an ordinary browser, on a computer or a phone. One senior engineer is responsible for your project, from the first call to handover.

Is this right for you?

It may be, if you recognize any of these:

  • Your team copies the same details between spreadsheets, emails and forms every day.
  • Customers call to ask things they could check online: an order, a booking, an invoice.
  • Your website is slow, looks wrong on phones, or every small text change means calling a developer.
  • You have an idea for an online service and need a first version to show customers or investors.

What you get

Most projects combine a few of these. In the first week, we agree together which ones you need.

  • A business website or landing pages that load fast on any screen. Your team updates the text and photos itself, in a simple panel.
  • A web app for your customers: they sign in, see their own account, book and pay.
  • Screens for your team (dashboards and internal tools), so your staff handle everything in one place.
  • One consistent look on every page, matching your brand.
  • Connections to the tools you already use, so nobody types the same information twice.
  • A custom design for your online shop, on the shop platform you choose.
  • A step-by-step rebuild of an old website or system, while your business keeps running.

How it works, step by step

Every project follows the same five steps. A simple first version takes about 4 weeks in total, and a large online system can take 16 weeks or more.

  • Getting to know you (about 1 week). After a free 30-minute call, we learn how your business works and agree what success looks like. You get a one-page written summary, even if you don't hire us.
  • Plan (1 to 2 weeks). We decide how it will work and how it will be built, and put it in writing, so anyone who works on it later can see what was decided and why.
  • Build (2 to 12 weeks). We work in two-week rounds, and every week you try the real, working system in a live demo, so you can change direction while it's still cheap.
  • Go live (about 1 week). We connect your web address, add the security padlock and set up alerts in case something breaks. All the accounts are in your name.
  • Looking after it (ongoing, optional). On a support plan, we keep everything up to date and watched, and make improvements over time.

Fast, easy for everyone, and safe

Every page gets a speed target, and we check it each time something changes, so the site doesn't slowly get slower. Slow pages lose visitors, and Google notices too.

Before handover, we check the site against the international accessibility standard (WCAG), so people with disabilities can use it too. In Israel, the accessibility regulations also require it.

Sign-in uses proven, standard methods, and passwords and other secrets are kept locked away. When a project needs it, we arrange a security check by an outside company.

What it costs and how pricing works

We don't have a price list or guess a price on the first call, since no two websites or web apps are the same. First we get to know your business, then we write down exactly what will be built and send you a clear quote.

Most projects are paid per two-week round, and each round has its own written plan. Small, clear jobs, like a one-page landing site, can have a fixed price. If something isn't in the agreed plan, we tell you before we work on it, so you don't get surprise invoices.

After launch, everything is yours

From day one, the code is kept in your company's account, the hosting (where your site lives online) is in your name, and the web address is registered to your business. We only get our own access, and you can switch it off at any time.

At handover, you get written notes, so your own team or another company can carry on without us.

Who we are

Phoned-Tech (also written PhonedTech) has been building software for businesses since 2013. Our team of 7+ senior engineers is headquartered in Maalot-Tarshiha, Israel. We have launched 40+ systems for clients, and 4 out of 5 clients come back for a second project.

This website is a working example of what we build. It works in English and Hebrew, reads right to left in Hebrew, and our team edits its text in a simple panel.

When to choose someone else

We're a small team of senior engineers, which makes us the wrong choice for some projects, and we'll say so on the first call.

  • You need a simple site that a template does well. A website builder or a standard WordPress theme will cost you less.
  • You need a standard online store. Shopify on its own often does the job. We come in when you want a custom design, or need your store connected to your business software or warehouse.
  • You need twenty developers next month. A staffing agency is a better fit.
  • You want to hand the project over and not be involved. We need someone on your side to watch the weekly demo and make decisions.

Website & web app development: common questions

How much does a website or web app cost?

It depends on what it needs to do, so there is no price list. First comes a free 30-minute call and about a week of getting to know your business. Then we write down what will be built and send a clear quote.

How long does it take?

About 4 weeks for a simple first version, and 16 weeks or more for a large online system. A business website is usually at the short end.

I'm not technical. Is that a problem?

Not at all. You know your business; we take care of the technical side and explain every choice in plain words. We need some of your time: answers to our questions, a look at the weekly demo, and your decisions. If you already have text, photos or a logo, that helps. If not, we'll tell you what's missing.

Who owns the website, the code and the domain?

You do, from day one. The code, the hosting and the domain (your web address) are all in your company's name. We work with access that you can cancel at any time.

Can you take over or rebuild our existing website or system?

Yes. We start by reviewing what you have today. Then we move it over one part at a time, so your business doesn't have to stop while we rebuild.

What happens after launch?

You choose. You can stay with Phoned-Tech on a support plan: we keep the site updated, watch over it and keep improving it, with agreed response times if you need them. Or you can run it yourselves, or with another company, using the written notes from handover.

Will my site show up on Google and in AI assistants like ChatGPT?

We build the groundwork: pages Google can read easily, fast loading, a clear structure and a site map for search engines. This site even has a short guide file for AI assistants. But rankings also depend on your content and on other sites linking to you, so nobody can honestly promise them, and we won't either.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us what's slowing your business down. In a free 30-minute call we'll listen, suggest options in plain words and send you a short written summary, even if you don't hire us.
